IT Service Desk Engineer
Location: Central UK Location (100% On-Site)
Salary: Competitive + On-Call Allowance
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Role Overview
We are recruiting a hands-on IT Service Desk Engineer to join an established multi-site organisation. You will provide 1st and 2nd line operational support across corporate offices, regional branches, and distribution hubs, taking complete ownership of tickets from triage to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- 1st/2nd Line Support: Resolve incidents across corporate, branch, and warehouse environments.
- Site & Operational Infrastructure: Support branch hardware, specialized terminal/POS systems, handheld scanners, thermal printers, and site connectivity.
- Endpoint Management: Build, configure, and deploy devices using Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, and Autopilot across the full user lifecycle.
- Systems Administration: Manage M365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Entra ID/Active Directory, GPO, and JML processes.
- Virtualization & Networks: Troubleshoot Citrix virtual desktop sessions, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN issues.
- Projects & Upgrades: Assist with site rollouts, hardware refreshes, and process documentation.

Required Experience
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ required.
- Experience: Proven track record in a 1st/2nd Line Support role within multi-site, retail, or distribution environments.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Windows 10/11, M365/Entra ID, Intune/SCCM, Citrix, and core networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Key Soft Skills: Strong end-to-end ticket ownership, clear communication, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
