Infrastructure Finance – Senior Associate | London | c.6 PQE

We are working with a leading international law firm looking to add a Senior Associate to its highly regarded London Infrastructure Finance practice.

This is a targeted hire into a busy and sophisticated team advising on some of the largest and most complex infrastructure financings in the European market. The practice acts for a mix of leading infrastructure investors, financial sponsors, institutional investors, lenders and infrastructure businesses across digital infrastructure, energy and renewables, transport, airports, utilities and other core infrastructure assets.

The team regularly advises on multi-billion-pound/euro acquisition financings and refinancings, common-terms platforms, bank and institutional debt structures, private placements and other complex financing arrangements. Recent transactions have included €1bn+ financings across digital, transport and energy infrastructure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The opportunity

The team is ideally looking for someone around 6 PQE, although there is some flexibility around this for the right candidate.

Candidates should have a strong finance background from a top law firm, together with meaningful infrastructure finance experience. This does not necessarily need to come from a standalone infrastructure finance team: senior banking/debt finance lawyers who have developed a genuine infrastructure financing component to their practice will also be considered.

The successful candidate will join a genuinely high-quality infrastructure platform with significant deal flow and exposure to both sponsor-side and lender-side work. The broader firm offers substantial capability across infrastructure, energy, M&A, leveraged finance and structured finance, resulting in regular opportunities to work on large, complex and cross-border transactions.
