Life on the Team
Location: Onsite in Derby
Clearance: DV cleared
You'll join an onsite team supporting a highly secure, enterprise-scale customer environment in Derby.
Working across Wintel server, networking and infrastructure technologies, you'll play an important role in maintaining critical services while contributing to ongoing technical improvement and project delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working in a collaborative, onsite team environment.
What you’ll do
- Offering solutions and workarounds to incidents/problems.
- Working to SLA’s and deadlines.
- Reviewing services and application delivery.
- Prioritising and managing several tasks at a single time.
- Establishing a good working relationship with wider teams and customers alike.
- Keeping up to date with advancements in technology.
- Working with a variety of customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements.
- Designing, developing, and deploying technologies on Windows Platforms.
- Providing remote on-call out of hours support.

What you’ll need
Experience/Clearances:
- Either currently holds DV clearance or SC cleared and eligible to undertake DV.
- Experience working in a third line capacity in Managed Services providing specialised support across Windows Server Platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and demonstrable ability to make key technical decisions independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Prioritisation and task management skills.
Technologies:
- Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles, DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP, and Kerberos.
- VMware/VxRail.
- DHCP.
- Exchange 2019/SE.
- Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022 & 2025) – including server core.
- Skype for Business 2019/SE.
- Windows 10.
- Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.).
- Designing, developing, and deploying technologies on Windows Platforms.
- PKI and Certificate Management.
- Quest Tools (Active Roles, Change Auditor, Recovery Manager).
- Anti-virus technologies (McAfee ePO, ENS, VSE, HIPS, and DLP).
- Scripting (PowerShell, VB, etc.).
