Who You’ll Be Joining

We’re problem solvers at heart. Sometimes the answer is technology, strategy, a strong cup of tea, or thoughtful conversation. Whatever it takes, we work it out with our clients.

We’re an IT consultancy that helps organisations get the best out of their technology. Our work delivers security, operational efficiency, and innovation through data, software, and seamless user experiences. We take pride in doing this well—and for the right reasons.

Life at Waterstons is friendly, flexible, and built on trust. We hire curious, analytical problem-solvers who can quickly understand and resolve challenges. You’ll receive support while gaining room to grow in an environment that feels human and aspirational. Perks like unlimited holidays and private healthcare are appreciated, but most people stay because it’s a place to do good work with good people.

The Role

Infrastructure & Network Engineer

Location:

  • Flexible (hybrid), based between our Durham and Glasgow offices

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Network Engineer to join our expanding global Support Services team.

This role centres on monitoring, maintaining, and improving clients’ physical and virtual networks, infrastructure, and IT systems. Your day-to-day work will involve handling alerts from diverse environments, escalating issues, and ensuring resolutions are communicated clearly and swiftly.

As our clients’ first technical contact, you’ll own problem-solving to deliver customised support across national and international organisations. While hybrid working is available, we expect 5 days/week in the office for the first 6 weeks, tapering to 3 days/week thereafter.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
