Infrastructure Automation Lead

6-month contract | Central London | 3 days onsite | Inside IR35

Synapri are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Automation Lead to drive a strategic infrastructure modernisation and automation programme across EMEA for one of their key customers.

This newly created role will transform a largely manual infrastructure environment into a scalable, automated Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platform. You’ll be a hands-on technical leader, working from a greenfield starting point to define the automation strategy, establish standards and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of IaC solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Build automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Develop self-service infrastructure provisioning and automated deployment workflows.
  • Define automation standards, governance, and best practices.
  • Integrate infrastructure automation into DevOps and CI/CD environments.
  • Support infrastructure modernisation across Kubernetes, OpenShift, and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Ensure solutions are designed with future cloud adoption in mind.
  • Work with Infrastructure, Operations, and Engineering teams across EMEA, Dublin, London, and the US.
  • Provide technical leadership and help establish a future infrastructure automation team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
