Infrastructure Automation Consultant - BMC TrueSight
Applicants Must Have Active SC Clearance
We are seeking an SC cleared Infrastructure Automation Consultant to support the rollout of Minimum Configuration Settings across a multi platform estate. This contract role focuses on hardening automation, configuration compliance, and rollback readiness within a structured change controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify automation scripts to check hardening status against MCS 2.0 standards.
- Roll out configuration changes across Windows and Linux environments using BMC TrueSight Automation.
- Develop and maintain rollback scripts to restore systems safely in the event of incidents.
- Analyse OS level configuration to identify gaps against required hardening baselines.
- Test and validate scripts prior to deployment to minimise production risk.
- Document script logic, execution steps, and rollback procedures for handover and audit purposes.

Key Skills and Experience
- Active SC clearance is essential.
- Advanced scripting ability in Shell, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment.
- Hands on experience deploying and managing scripts through BMC TrueSight Automation or a comparable orchestration tool.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including hardening and configuration standards.
- Ability to work within formal change management processes.

Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with CIS benchmarks or similar hardening frameworks.
- Experience in telecoms or large enterprise infrastructure environments.
