Role: Infrastructure & Platform Manager
Location: UK, Remote
Permanent role, market leading + Salary
We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure & Platform Manager to lead the strategic direction, resilience, and performance of a complex, multi-platform IT environment across the UK, circa 8k+ end-users, operating within a highly acquisitive business.
This is a leadership role focused on moving infrastructure from reactive support to a proactive, high-performing function that drives business value. You’ll oversee cloud, network, and platform operations, ensuring stability, scalability, and security across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
The Role
You will lead a multidisciplinary infrastructure team, with circa 6 reports taking ownership of service reliability, automation, and long-term platform strategy. The focus is on minimizing downtime, improving productivity, and embedding modern, self-healing systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure strategy and governance across cloud (AWS/Azure), networking, and integration platforms
- Drive a proactive, “designed-for-reliability” approach to system performance and uptime
- Oversee incident escalation, risk mitigation, and future-proofing of infrastructure
- Manage team performance, development, and capability building
- Own lifecycle and change management from project delivery into BAU
- Identify and deliver automation initiatives to improve efficiency and ROI
- Ensure security, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness
What You’ll Bring
- Strong leadership experience managing infrastructure teams in complex environments
- Expertise across AWS/Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, and security tooling
- Solid networking knowledge (SD-WAN, routing, switching, WiFi)
- Experience with platforms such as Citrix, Netscaler, and SQL
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale IT projects while maintaining operational stability
- A strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills
