Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Office-based - Oxford

Infrastructure Engineer – Complex Projects | VMware | Networking | Server Infrastructure

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology team where you'll be trusted with delivering complex infrastructure projects—not spending your days resetting passwords or working through routine support tickets.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems across servers, virtualisation, networking, and enterprise infrastructure, while working on projects that genuinely shape the environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for delivering technical infrastructure solutions across a modern enterprise environment, taking ownership of implementation and working on high-impact engineering projects.

You'll be involved in:

  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
  • Building and configuring VMware environments and clusters.
  • Working across server, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
  • Delivering technical elements of infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting enterprise systems in a hands-on engineering capacity.
  • Working with new technologies and helping shape future infrastructure.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
