Infrastructure Engineer - £60,000 - £65,000
📍 London (Hybrid): 3 days on-site

Our client is a globally recognised organisation delivering large-scale digital and media services to audiences worldwide. They operate in a high-availability, enterprise technology environment where infrastructure plays a critical role in supporting production, distribution, and operational systems.
As part of continued growth and technology investment, they are expanding their infrastructure capability and modernising their on-premise and cloud platforms to support high-volume data and mission-critical services.
This is an opportunity to join a technically strong team working on complex infrastructure within a large-scale, performance-driven environment.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain core server, storage, and virtualisation platforms across a hybrid infrastructure environment.

You will work across physical and virtual systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and security while contributing to infrastructure improvements and operational stability. This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on infrastructure engineering, problem-solving, and working with enterprise technologies in a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise server infrastructure
- Administer Windows and/or Linux server environments
- Manage and support enterprise storage platforms (SAN / NAS)
- Maintain and optimise virtualisation environments (Hyper-V)
- Support hybrid cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across server, storage, and virtual platforms
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and system configurations
- Provide 2nd / 3rd line infrastructure support
- Participate in an on-call rota where required
- Collaborate with networking and security teams on infrastructure initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
- Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMware, or similar)
- Experience managing enterprise storage (SAN / NAS)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a technical environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platform
