Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, automate, and manage the cloud infrastructure supporting the Vector platform. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the platform's infrastructure is secure, scalable, resilient, and operationally efficient.

Working closely with development, security, and platform teams, the Infrastructure Engineer will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and cloud-native technologies to support the delivery of reliable services in AWS.

This role requires strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and operational best practices, as well as a continuous improvement mindset focused on enhancing platform stability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage infrastructure for the Vector platform in AWS, including environments, services, networking, security policies, user authentication, security groups, IAM roles, profiles, and permissions.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions that support business and technical requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and automate infrastructure deployment scripts and templates to enable efficient provisioning, configuration, and recreation of environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using industry-standard tools to ensure consistency, repeatability, and governance across environments.
  • Ensure infrastructure security, scalability, performance, and operational stability through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and optimisation activities.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application deployment pipelines and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
  • Manage cloud resources and services, ensuring compliance with organisational security standards and best practices.
  • Monitor platform health, system performance, and resource utilisation, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost optimisation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, vulnerabilities, and service disruptions in a timely manner.
  • Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity requirements through robust infrastructure design and testing.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, procedures, and operational runbooks to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to infrastructure roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the platform remains aligned with evolving business and technology needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
