Synchro are hiring on behalf of a well known & established organisation who are seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to take a lead role in managing, supporting and evolving a large-scale network infrastructure across the UK.
This is a hands-on role, combining complex technical troubleshooting with network optimisation, infrastructure projects and 3rd line support.
The role will be based in Leicester and offers hybrid remote working. For the initial settling in period, this role will require you to be onsite for 5 days per week.

- Ownership of the organisation’s LAN, WLAN and WAN infrastructure
- Configure, maintain and optimise Cisco network infrastructure
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues across multiple UK sites
- Contribute to network design, implementation and continuous improvement projects
- Identify opportunities to improve network resilience, performance and security
- Work closely with other infrastructure and IT teams to deliver technical projects
- Act as a technical point of escalation and share knowledge with other engineers
Required experience
- Strong commercial experience supporting enterprise-scale networks
- Advanced experience configuring and maintaining Cisco network equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN, WLAN and WAN
- Experience with network design, implementation and optimisation
- Good understanding of network security principles and best practice
- CCNA, CCNP or equivalent practical experience

Role Summary
Role: Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Leicester - with hybrid remote working as detailed above
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 plus excellent benefits
