About the Role
Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Infrastructure Specialist – Datacentre & Cloud to be part of our team delivering IT infrastructure support to Client, a leading audit, tax and consulting firm. This role supports Client’s National Technology team, a dynamic internal service function responsible for deploying and managing critical technology solutions that drive business operations and strategic growth.
As part of the Datacentre & Cloud team, the Infrastructure Specialist will focus on ensuring the performance, security, and availability of hybrid cloud systems and datacentre services. The role includes implementing new technologies, maintaining infrastructure components, and ensuring systems remain aligned with Client’s IT security and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- It is essential for the staff to have a clear and crisp understanding of Client’s business, culture, and technology landscape.
- Responsible for overseeing and managing Datacentre operations, including critical infrastructure such as power and cooling systems, colocation services, and external data centres. Ensures optimal performance, scalability, and security of the platform as a service environment.
- Administers and supports enterprise Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and Active Directory (AD) environments, ensuring secure and efficient user access management. Develops, maintains, and optimizes PowerShell automation scripts to streamline system provisioning, configuration management, and reporting.
- Manages Azure guest account administration and OKTA identity management, ensuring robust access control, authentication, and policy compliance across cloud and hybrid environments. Coordinates with third-party vendors and external service providers to maintain operational excellence, resolve incidents promptly, and optimize overall system reliability.
- Leads techno-people management efforts, driving collaboration between engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Oversees project execution, preventive maintenance, and fault resolution, ensuring 24/7 operational continuity and compliance with industry best practices.
- Provide expert-level support for Windows Server and Virtualization environments.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to support business transformation.
- Manages critical infrastructure components such as UPS systems, PDUs, HVAC units, and backup generators, ensuring 24/7 operational continuity. Leads preventive maintenance initiatives, monitors systems for faults, and drives timely resolution of incidents to maintain seamless datacentre functionality.
- DC Oncall support: Ability to reach either the Crawley or Croydon data centre within 45 minutes to address on any high priority issues / or any urgent critical IT requirement. Provide 24/7 on-call support (On rotation basis) for data centre operations. On-Call & Overtime pay is applicable to meet the Business & IT needs of the client.

Required Skills:
- Proven, hands-on experience in a comparable infrastructure role, involving the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms, with a strong track record of delivering reliable and scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Knowledge of Azure AD, MFA, Okta, and identity federation systems.
- Strong experience in Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Proven ability in managing enterprise-scale endpoint and server patching cycles.
- Excellent scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell).
- Advanced knowledge of MECM/SCCM, Intune, and WSUS.
- Solid understanding of networking principles and remote connectivity/VPN tools.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid IT delivery teams.

Desirable Skills, are added advantage:
- Should possess & demonstrate working knowledge on Client’s Business applications & IT portfolio, and should have understanding on SCSM ticketing too.
- Exposure to agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Experience with ITIL-based service delivery and change management.
