Infrastructure Engineer | Defense Technology
£50,000–£70,000+ Reading / Basingstoke (3–4 days on site) | High-level government security clearance required
Our client is a specialist defence technology company delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure for high-profile UK defense programmes. Financially strong and growing, they're winning significant new work, including technology that's new to the UK defence sector. They want an Infrastructure Engineer keen to grow with an ambitious business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build and support secure infrastructure for UK defense programmes
- Deliver VMware-based private cloud environments, plus Windows and Linux
- Support Cisco and Juniper networking
- Take ownership in an agile, non-prescriptive team

What We're Looking For
- Infrastructure experience across VMware, Windows and/or Linux
- Attitude over box-ticking: past hires with limited VMware were trained up
- Architect-level candidates welcome at the top of the range or beyond
- Based on the M4 or M3 corridor, near Reading / Basingstoke
- High-level government security clearance. Sole UK nationals only, due to site access requirements

- £50,000–£70,000, with flexibility for the right person
