Taskr is working with a leading enterprise client to find an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical team. This is a great opportunity for an infrastructure professional who enjoys working across a broad technology estate, solving complex technical problems and helping shape reliable, secure and modern IT services.
You’ll be joining an established technical environment where you’ll have the opportunity to work across cloud, infrastructure, networking, security and modern workplace technologies, while also contributing to projects, automation and continuous improvement.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for supporting and improving a wide range of infrastructure services, acting as a senior technical point of escalation when more complex issues arise.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support and escalation for complex infrastructure and cloud issues.
- Designing, implementing and maintaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
- Supporting enterprise networking, connectivity and security platforms.
- Managing backup, disaster recovery and resilience solutions.
- Carrying out proactive maintenance, upgrades and technology lifecycle activities.
- Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Supporting identity, endpoint and cloud security services.
- Working closely with project teams and other technical functions on infrastructure changes and customer initiatives.
- Producing clear technical documentation and maintaining knowledge within the team.
- Supporting technology migrations, onboarding and transition projects.
- Sharing knowledge and helping less experienced engineers develop their technical skills.

About You
You’ll be an experienced infrastructure engineer with a strong understanding of modern Microsoft-based environments and experience across several areas such as:

- Cloud & hybrid infrastructure – ideally Microsoft Azure and associated management technologies.
- Microsoft platforms – Microsoft 365, Windows Server, identity and endpoint management.
- Networking – enterprise switching, wireless, firewalls, SD-WAN and cloud networking.
- Security – identity and access management, endpoint security and security monitoring.
- Resilience – backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Automation – PowerShell, APIs and modern infrastructure management approaches.
- Monitoring & operations – experience using monitoring, management and observability tools.
Role Details
- Candidates MUST be based in the United Kingdom and hold full, unlimited right-to-work.
- The role is offered as a remote, home-based role.
- Salaries negotiable between £55,000 - £65,000 p.a. + competitive package on top.
