The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to take a key technical role supporting and developing a modern IT environment.
You'll work across servers, networks, cloud services, cyber security, audio-visual systems and educational technologies, while acting as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who wants a combination of hands-on technical work, project involvement and strategic responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, support and improve IT infrastructure across servers, networks and cloud environments
- Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex infrastructure issues
- Support Azure/cloud services, networking and security
- Monitor infrastructure performance, resilience and security
- Act as a technical consultant on IT projects
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to future technology planning
- Support and mentor colleagues within the wider IT team
- Work with users and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure technology solutions

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar
- Strong knowledge of servers, networking, operating systems, cloud services and security
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues
- Relevant qualifications such as Microsoft Azure or ITIL
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users
- Experience with LMS/VLE or other educational technologies would be advantageous.
