Hands-on Support Role: Operational Resilience and Upgrade Readiness
Role Purpose
The organization has agreed to migrate away from the Domino Data Lab platform by the end of 2028. This role will provide additional day-to-day support capacity so that existing Domino specialists can focus on moving applications to strategic platforms, including ROSA and Snowflake, and on identifying the long-term strategic coding platform.
The engineer will reduce key-person dependency and strengthen operational resilience across platform administration, user support, incident investigation, testing, and upgrade activities.
Key Responsibilities
BAU Platform Support
- Provide day-to-day operational support for the Domino Data Lab platform.
- Manage user onboarding, user queries, and routine platform support requests.
- Handle incidents and service requests through triage, investigation, and resolution.
- Troubleshoot platform issues using logs, infrastructure knowledge, and structured root-cause investigation.
- Maintain support documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing and training.

Testing and Upgrade Support
- Plan and run regression testing sessions, including weekend testing when required.
- Perform upgrade validation and coordinate user acceptance testing activities.
- Track defects through investigation and resolution.
- Support release-readiness activities and provide post-release support.
Operational Resilience
- Act as support and cover for the existing Investments Technology team.
- Build sufficient platform knowledge to independently manage routine BAU activities.
- Drive issues through to resolution while keeping users and stakeholders appropriately informed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting capability.
- Working familiarity with Docker and container concepts.
- Experience with source control and version-management tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
- General IT infrastructure understanding, including networking fundamentals, authentication and access management, DNS, certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Application support and incident-investigation experience.
- Practical log-analysis and root-cause investigation skills.
- Ability to learn and support platform-administration activities.
