Infrastructure & Network Engineer

Up to £65,000 DOE
Swindon - Hybrid

A fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Swindon is looking for an Infrastructure and/or Network Engineer to join their close-knit technical team. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who specialises in either infrastructure, networking, or a combination of both, and is comfortable taking ownership of complex technical projects across client environments.

The role

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure and networking projects, working across a variety of client environments and technologies. The role is suited to an engineer who has progressed beyond first and second-line support and is looking for a position where they can lead technical delivery, influence solutions, and work closely with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure including Fortinet firewalls, switches, access points, and Ubiquiti solutions
  • Delivering Azure and cloud migration projects, including hybrid cloud environments and Azure Local deployments
  • Hardening and optimising Microsoft Azure environments for security, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Deploying and managing Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Implementing Microsoft Intune and Autopilot solutions
  • Designing secure infrastructure solutions using best practices around Zero Trust, MFA, conditional access, and identity management
  • Producing high-quality technical documentation and solution designs
  • Working directly with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver successful outcomes
  • Providing escalation support and mentoring junior team members where required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
