Infrastructure / Platform Engineer (Contract)

London – Hybrid (3 days per week)
Up to £800 per day (Inside IR35)

A Tier 1 systematic trading firm is looking for an experienced Infrastructure / Platform Engineer to join its technology team on a major transformation programme.

The headline project is an enterprise migration from WebEx to Microsoft Teams, but the core of the role is modern Platform Engineering with a strong focus on infrastructure automation and enterprise Windows environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Python, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Support and enhance Windows Server, WSUS, and Microsoft 365 environments
  • Build and maintain observability using Prometheus and Grafana
  • Support the migration from WebEx to Microsoft Teams
  • Work closely with engineering teams on enterprise infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Strong Infrastructure or Platform Engineering experience
  • Windows Server, WSUS, and Microsoft 365
  • PowerShell and/or Python automation
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Prometheus and Grafana
  • Enterprise Microsoft Teams experience
