PE Global is currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 12 month contract role with a leading multinational Pharma client based in Basingstoke.

This role is onsite full time. The pay rate is between £15.82 and £21.09 per hour PAYE.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and track department finances, including PO creation, stock management and order fulfilment.
  • Build effective working relationships with business partners, local/regional/global IT groups, ESPs and vendors. Seek continuous feedback for improvement.
  • Take responsibility for infrastructure projects and service requests using multiple external vendors and internal infrastructure & facilities groups in order to achieve goals.
  • Handle user ticket requests in our ticket management system.
  • Act as customer liaison for operations issues and requests.
  • Understand user’s business requirements and impact of IT services.
  • Support all areas infrastructure connectivity including phone systems, data networking, video conferencing and Business TV, BT Services.
  • Provide IT presence and relevance on the ground at affiliate sites as deemed necessary
  • Ensure documented procedures and processes are followed for all activities.

Requirements

  • Strong background working with vendors in an outsourced environment
  • Dealing with customers at all levels in a busy working environment
  • Broad base understanding of Infrastructure
  • Ability to negotiate and influence
  • An awareness of ITIL processes
  • Exemplary Communication Skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workload for multiple priority projects
  • Negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • High competency with MS Office
  • ITIL 3 Foundation is desirable
