Introduction

Work on Technology That Protects What Matters

We build secure digital solutions that support Defence and National Security missions. Our teams solve complex problems where reliability, security, and speed of innovation matter.

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.

We can only progress candidates who already hold active UK Security Clearance (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) and have experience working within secure Defence, National Security or other highly regulated environments.

What You'll Do

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll help design, build, support and optimise secure digital environments across internal platforms and customer projects. Working alongside architects, engineers and delivery specialists, you'll ensure infrastructure remains secure, resilient and scalable across public, private and hybrid cloud environments.

Your work may include:

  • Maintaining, improving and securing multi-classification, virtualised, collaboration and development environments.
  • Supporting the delivery of secure-by-design infrastructure across internal platforms and customer projects.
  • Providing infrastructure support for Microsoft 365 and cloud-based environments, including public, private and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Performing infrastructure maintenance through controlled change management processes.
  • Monitoring infrastructure, ticketing and alerting systems, responding to operational issues and security events.
  • Triaging alerts, assessing incidents, restoring service quickly and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
  • Maintaining monitoring solutions in line with infrastructure developments.
  • Ensuring servers, platforms and services are patched in accordance with security policy and vendor recommendations.
  • Identifying trends, recurring issues and opportunities to improve stability, resilience and performance.
  • Supporting Kubernetes and containerised platforms within secure environments.
  • Administering VMware virtualisation platforms and cloud infrastructure.
  • Supporting secure networking, authentication and identity services across multiple environments.
  • Developing automation using PowerShell, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code technologies.
  • Supporting DevSecOps tooling and secure infrastructure pipelines.
  • Advising customers and project teams on infrastructure, operational support and technical best practice.
  • Producing technical documentation and knowledge articles to support the wider engineering team.
  • Continuously developing technical capability through research, training and industry certifications.
  • Supporting business development activities by providing technical expertise where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
