MERITUS are recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the design, build and delivery of secure Operational Technology (OT) and IT infrastructure solutions for critical infrastructure and energy projects.

Infrastructure Engineer (OT/IT) – £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) – STONE, STAFFORDSHIRE – HYBRID WORKING

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with experience in Windows Server, networking and virtualisation to support the delivery of secure OT infrastructure solutions. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from system design and configuration through to testing, commissioning and customer handover, with a strong focus on cyber security and industry best practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of secure OT and IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Configure and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Build and support virtualised environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Configure and support network switches and firewalls.
  • Work alongside cyber security specialists to deliver systems aligned with IEC 62443 standards.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), commissioning activities and customer handovers.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation throughout project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Around 2-5 years' experience within an OT, industrial control systems or infrastructure engineering environment.
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of network switch and firewall configuration.
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within project teams.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the energy, utilities, manufacturing or other industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of IEC 62443 or other industrial cyber security standards.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of secure OT infrastructure solutions.
