Senior Infrastructure Specialist
📍 Mayfair, London (Hybrid)
💰 Up to £145,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
📅 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (with a clear path to permanent)
I'm working exclusively with a global financial services business that is looking to hire a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join its London technology team.
This isn't just another infrastructure role. They're looking for someone who enjoys being the technical person others naturally turn to. Someone who leads through expertise, mentors colleagues, enjoys solving complex problems, and genuinely wants to help raise the capability of those around them.
You'll play a key role in driving large infrastructure initiatives, including the migration of critical on premises environments into AWS, while owning high availability, disaster recovery, resilience, automation and enterprise infrastructure across a global estate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll be working across:
- VMware & enterprise virtualisation
- Windows Server infrastructure
- AWS & hybrid cloud
- Storage, backups & disaster recovery (Zerto, Veeam, Rubrik etc.)

- AI assisted tooling such as GitHub Copilot to improve engineering efficiency
- High availability and business critical environments
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong experience across enterprise infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments
- The ability to act as a technical leader and mentor, not necessarily a people manager
- A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
- Experience working in fast paced, business critical environments
- A passion for automation, cloud technologies and modern infrastructure
