Infrastructure Engineer (Water Infrastructure / National Infrastructure)
Location: Peterborough / Hybrid

We're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in developing innovative solutions for potable water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the East of England.

What you'll be doing
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll:
- Develop engineering solutions for potable water and wastewater infrastructure projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
- Produce and review designs for pipelines and associated infrastructure, including valves, flowmeters, pumping stations and ancillary assets.
- Collaborate with hydraulic modelling teams to optimise network solutions.
- Apply relevant design standards, British Standards and Eurocodes to deliver compliant engineering solutions.
- Support optioneering studies, technical assessments and design development activities.
- Prepare design risk assessments and contribute to CDM compliance and health & safety documentation.
- Provide technical guidance throughout project delivery, including support during construction phases.
- Champion innovative approaches, digital technologies and sustainable design practices to improve project outcomes.
What you'll bring
Essential
- Experience in civil or infrastructure engineering design.
- Understanding of pipeline design, buried infrastructure and associated civil engineering principles.
- Knowledge of relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and design guidance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive and innovative mindset focused on delivering sustainable engineering solutions.

Desirable
- Experience within the water or wastewater sector delivering capital projects.
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng, MEng or MSc).
- Experience working in a Design & Build environment.
- Knowledge of water or wastewater modelling software.
- Experience using GIS tools to support infrastructure design and project delivery.
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a relevant professional institution.
