About the Role

An established organisation is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an IT Operations team. This role suits someone who enjoys working across the full IT estate (cloud, security, networking, end-user) rather than being confined to a single specialism.

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement and monitor cloud solutions with a focus on performance, cost optimisation, and security
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to design and embed robust security controls
  • Create and maintain automation scripts to improve cloud resource management and operational efficiency
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex Azure infrastructure issues
  • Keep up to date with Azure services and assess practical value for the business
  • Document and maintain cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Support backup and recovery processes with the wider team
  • Deliver system installations, configurations, patching, and upgrades
  • Help define and improve technical standards, support processes, and operational best practice
  • Provide escalation support to the IT Service Desk across hardware, software, and networking
  • Take ownership of assigned technical projects, driving them through to completion
  • Support mobile device management and application deployment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
