Infrastructure Manager (Infrastructure and Cloud Services)
Location: UK Based, Fully Remote, Home-Based
Salary: Market Led, + Benefits Package
Business: 8000+ end-users, enterprise
We're looking for a Infrastructure & Platforms Manager to take ownership of a complex technology environment supporting 8,000+ users across a highly acquisitive organisation. This is first and foremost a leadership role and isn’t hands on.
We’re looking for someone capable of leading a multidisciplinary infrastructure and platform team of around 6 people, setting the direction, developing capability and creating a culture where the team is proactive rather than constantly firefighting.
The technology landscape is broad, spanning cloud, networking, Microsoft technologies, security and enterprise platforms. But we're particularly interested in someone who can lead people, improve the way the function operates and turn infrastructure into a reliable, scalable business service.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and mentor a multidisciplinary infrastructure and platform team
- Set the strategic direction for infrastructure, cloud and platform services
- Build a proactive, high-performing culture focused on reliability rather than reactive support
- Own service performance, availability, resilience and operational risk
- Improve processes, standards and governance across the infrastructure function
- Lead incident escalation and ensure lessons are turned into meaningful improvements
- Oversee the transition of projects and new technology into stable BAU services
- Drive automation and smarter ways of working across the team
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle, change and future technology requirements
- Ensure security, compliance and disaster recovery requirements are embedded
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and wider technology teams to align infrastructure with business priorities

Background experience:
- Demonstrable experience operating at Infrastructure Manager, Cloud Manager, Platform Management roles, where your role has been focused on success through a team
- Hands on experience leading engineers, this isn’t a manager of manager roles
- Proven experience delivering significant technology change
- Experienced leading teams to deliver cloud transformation (AWS / Azure or GCP)
