The Role

As an Infrastructure Miner, you will play a key role in safely and efficiently supporting underground operations. You’ll operate essential machinery, carry out infrastructure works, and contribute to maintaining a safe, productive mining environment. Working both independently and as part of a team, you’ll ensure that all activities meet ICL Boulby’s high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

The Responsibilities

Safety

  • Working safely at all times and following all ICL Boulby policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements, and ISO 45001:2018 requirements.
  • Conducting safe working practices, arriving fit for work, and prioritising safety in all decision making.

Operational Tasks

  • Operating machinery and equipment to complete infrastructure work to required standards.
  • Conducting pre start checks, using tools and equipment correctly, and completing all necessary documentation (logbooks, safety passports).
  • Participating in risk assessments, method statements, and pre shift briefings.
  • Completing works such as transport activities, conveyor work, back ripping, salvage, and installation tasks (where applicable).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
