Security Information

This role requires the successful candidate to hold or be willing to hold Security check (SC) clearance.

Hybrid Working

60/40 hybrid working from Birmingham/Bristol/Leeds/Manchester/Telford or Worthing

The Role at a Glance

  • Focus: Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, and secure access
  • Environment: Complex, large-scale, and collaborative

Tech Stack You’ll Support

  • Cloud & OS: AWS, Linux, Windows, Networking
  • CI/CD & Automation: AWX, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab
  • Security & Repos: HashiCorp Vault, Nexus, Bastion services

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor & Check: Maintain live services and complete routine operational checks.
  • Investigate & Solve: Troubleshoot incidents, resolve service requests, and escalate complex issues.
  • Access Control: Administer user access and onboarding requests securely.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear runbooks, support procedures, and user guidance.
  • Tech Changes: Support controlled technical changes, service migrations, and stabilization.

What We Are Looking For (Essential)

  • Experience supporting live IT services or operational tech environments.
  • Good understanding of AWS cloud, operating systems, and networking.
  • Exposure to CI/CD, automation, source control, or secrets management.
  • Methodical troubleshooting skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Clear communication skills to support technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Agile, DevOps, or ITIL ways of working.

Bonus Points For (Desirable)

  • Direct experience with Jenkins, GitLab, AWX, Ansible, Nexus, or Vault.
  • Experience using ServiceNow or Jira.
