Infrastructure Manager

Location: Hybrid (Barrow In Furness)

Working pattern: onsite initially to get the lead; then 2-3 days onsite every 2 weeks (lodging expenses covered)

Clearance: Active BPSS and/or SC (or eligible for both)

Eligibility: Must have 5 years UK residency and be a UK passport holder (no dual)

Start: ASAP - July 2027

A fantastic opportunity to Hiring for a reputed client, where you'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure provisioning by third parties and keep momentum moving across client teams. This is an influential role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, brings structure to complex work, and can translate plans into clear delivery outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage infrastructure provisioning by third parties end to end for the project
  • Oversee code/configuration/settings for the middleware solution, including migration across the environment landscape
  • Coordinate third-party delivery of infrastructure components (environment build, transports, licence provision, and more) in line with the agreed plan
  • Create infrastructure deliverables that support the project plan and contractual commitments
  • Provide advice and options when third parties can't align on a way forward, including problem/solution management
  • Manage third parties and client teams to deliver against the project plan and contract

  • Strong experience managing complex infrastructure build activities with external delivery partners
  • Confidence handling disagreements and steering solutions to keep delivery on track
  • The ability to produce and drive deliverables that align to agreed plans and contract expectations
  • Experience supporting or integrating complex enterprise systems, ideally within SAP/Siemens integration projects
