National Grid is hiring an Infrastructure Strategy Analyst and a Delivery Strategy Lead – Both positions are based from our Warwick office however we offer flexible hybrid working options.
Job Purpose
We are seeking highly motivated and pragmatic professionals who thrives in complex and evolving environments. Successful candidates will be able to independently manage projects from concept through to delivery, balancing competing priorities while identifying practical, effective solutions.

What You'll Do
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including but not limited to:
- Supporting / leading cross-functional workstreams and engaging with colleagues across the business to refine and activate our ‘world-class early development strategy’ and ensure that strategy aligns with National Grid’s strategic priorities and other function-led strategies and plans
- Addressing gaps between our current activities and our early development strategy, collaborating with accountable owners across the business to recommend and activate change
- Developing and implementing a portfolio deliverability framework
- Contribute to option or portfolio reviews to ensure a consistent approach to delivery strategies is applied which include wider strategic business drivers
- Providing deliverability assurance for investment cases
- Helping to shape the industry’s future strategic network planning processes, including by coordinating with internal stakeholders of varying seniority levels to define our objectives and build consensus, and supporting engagement with external stakeholders to influence and shape the process and methodologies that will identify the network of the future and accelerate the delivery of critical transmission infrastructure
- Contributing to horizon scanning and tracking of macro-trends that impact future strategic network planning processes and early project development, and working on internal briefings and summaries for relevant audiences
- Supporting / leading on ad hoc strategic projects that are of importance to the business, helping to frame key strategic questions, collect and analyse supporting data and information and shape recommendations

About You
- Assisting in the development of / developing strategic and operational workstreams and the activation and implementation of change to improve NGET’s performance
- Supporting with defining / defining the problem statement or purpose of workstreams, developing and activating plans, identifying and flagging risks and opportunities, delivering outputs of a high standard.
- Working with direction to identify / Identifying appropriate stakeholders and support engagement activities, maintaining a helpful and responsive approach or coordinating smaller stakeholder touchpoints (e.g., scheduling meetings, preparing pre-reads, summarising discussion points) to support broader engagement
- Structuring problems in a logical way, breaking problems down into manageable components and suggesting steps to support hypothesis development and testing
- Identifying the appropriate method of data collection and analysis to undertake robust qualitative and quantitative research to test hypotheses, prepare summaries which outline findings, recommendations and where deeper analysis or further stakeholder input may be required
- Checking assumptions and data reliability, raising concerns about data quality gaps with leads and building well-structured exhibits or charts with insights identified.
- Drafting clear and concise internal documents (e.g., briefing notes, slides), ensuring accuracy of information and correct formatting; incorporating feedback to refine clarity and tone
- Identifying and tracking relevant macro-trends that may influence our early project development strategy and future network plans, sharing insightful analysis on the potential impact to NGET
- Supporting the identification of / identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in processes and strategies, developing best practices that can be endorsed and activated across the organisation
What You'll Get
- A competitive salary between £47,000 – £63,000 dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive
- 26 days holiday, plus eight statutory days, an option to buy extra holiday days, and the option to holiday swap up to 3 bank holiday days
- An annual performance incentive
- A generous pension scheme, double matched up to 6% of your salary each month. For every £1 you contribute we’ll put in another £2, so if you put in 6%, we’ll add 12% giving a total of 18% to your pension pot
- Life insurance at 10 times basic salary
- Employer funding towards a portion of your Private Medical Insurance.
