Infrastructure Technician
Location: Basingstoke
Due to the nature of our support requirements this is an office-based role
Our purpose is to make the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. As an Infrastructure Technician you will contribute to this by supporting and augmenting the existing Shared Service to provide infrastructure support on a 24/7 shift pattern.
Your Role Will Involve
- Event Management: Monitor Notifications and Events generated by automated systems and act as required when particular events/notifications occur.
- Incident Management: Incident logging, triage and assignment on multiply ITSM toolsets such as Jira Service Management and ServiceNow. Manage the Incident to resolution in conjunction with the 3rd parties, keeping the Service Desk record in both Toolsets updated in accordance with agreed Work Instruction and assign any escalations to 3rd Line and / or Service Management.
- Support Service Management on the reporting of incidents
- Problem Management: Will manage, monitor and resolve Problems in accordance with agreed SLA's
- Patch and Signature Deployment: Deployment of monthly security patches to Microsoft server environments using the Microsoft WSUS toolset and regular signature deployments for tools such as Trellix and Tenable.
- Change Management: Support and participate as required in all Change Management Activities
- Request Fulfilment: Will receive and action Service Requests from customer; changes including add, change or remove access from secure environments.

Your Transferable Skills And Experience
- Active Directory (DHCP/DNS/GPO)
- Windows Server 2019, 2022 & RDS
- VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter
- Core routing and switching using Cisco IOS and JUNOS
- Cisco Firepower and Cisco ASA firewalls
- Anti-Virus management and reporting, Trellix EPO maintenance
- Supporting secure IT infrastructures
- Zabbix, ECK monitoring toolsets
- Fujitsu Primergy servers
- NetApp
- Veeam backup and restore
- Awareness of ITSM toolsets, Jira Service Management and ServiceNow
- Patch management
- WSUS toolset knowledge
- Juniper Apstra
Due to the role requirements you will need to be eligible and willing to obtain a high level of security clearance.

Expected working
This is a 24/7 role which is based on a rolling 4 days on 4 days off (alternating Days and Nights). Each shift is 10.5 hrs to fulfil 37 hours per week. This could be on an early or late start, rotated as directed by service delivery/team lead.
