Position Description
Join CGI’s Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit and play a critical role in delivering secure, resilient infrastructure solutions that support nationally significant programmes. As a Manual Infrastructure Tester, you will work within high-performing Agile delivery teams, collaborating with developers, infrastructure engineers, and project managers to ensure the successful testing and integration of complex systems across secure environments. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while working with modern infrastructure technologies across Windows and Linux platforms. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will work full time on site near Basingstoke.

We are looking for experienced Test & Integration Engineers with high-level UK Security Clearance to join a technically complex and secure programme based in Basingstoke.
You will bring a strong understanding of Active Directory and Windows operating systems, together with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Embedded within Agile delivery teams, you will work closely with developers, infrastructure specialists and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions that make a real-world impact.
You will apply your knowledge of integration frameworks to support the continuous integration, deployment and testing of new features across complex environments. The role requires hands-on infrastructure engineering experience, including the testing, deployment and maintenance of robust, scalable systems.
We are particularly interested in candidates with direct experience of testing and integrating one or more of the following:
- Identity and Access Management (IDAM) systems, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Server monitoring, auditing and patch deployment
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Run manual tests using project-approved tools.
- Interpret test results and undertake preliminary investigation of failures.
- Raise defects and monitor them through to resolution.
- Develop scripts to support sub-system integration and end-to-end testing.
- Apply a strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and virtualisation technologies.
- Work with network protocols and Windows operating systems as part of testing and integration activities.

- Demonstrable experience in software and/or systems testing.
- Experience in the integration and testing of sub-systems.
- Experience designing and producing manual tests.
- Experience using test management tools.
- A good understanding of IT infrastructure, network protocols and Windows environments.
- Experience working effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
