Test Manager – Broadcast Infrastructure

London | Hybrid – ideally 2 days onsite per week
Circa 6-month contract
Outside IR35

Christy Media Solutions is recruiting a Test Manager on behalf of our client to support a major London broadcast-infrastructure relocation and migration programme.

This is a hands-on Test Management role covering complex broadcast, IP/network and data-centre infrastructure. It is particularly suited to someone who combines strong test governance and programme coordination skills with enough broadcast and infrastructure knowledge to work effectively with technical engineers and SMEs.

The role

You will take responsibility for planning, coordinating and executing testing activities across the programme, including:

  • Developing and maintaining the overall test strategy, test plans, schedules and test-management documentation
  • Developing and coordinating executable test cases and scenarios
  • Coordinating testing across project, engineering, operations, supplier and SME teams
  • Leading functional, performance and integration testing
  • Supporting SIT and UAT/Operational Acceptance activities
  • Managing defects and issues through to resolution
  • Conducting risk assessments and establishing mitigation plans
  • Producing status and test-summary reporting
  • Providing Go/No-Go recommendations
  • Driving the programme towards Operational Acceptance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within broadcast/media infrastructure, data-centre migration, network infrastructure or systems integration environments is particularly relevant.

Experience with Xray for Jira and Jira is highly desirable. Useful technical exposure can include IP networking, MCR environments, SMPTE 2110, Nevion VideoIPath/iPath, TAG Multiviewer, Cisco, OTN, fibre connectivity and carrier circuits.

ISTQB, PMP or equivalent certifications are preferred.

This is not primarily a software/application QA position. The requirement is for someone who can manage a formal end-to-end testing programme across physical broadcast and infrastructure environments while coordinating the relevant technical specialists.
