This role ensures BT remains at the leading edge of AI innovation, translating external technology advancements into practical, scalable opportunities for the organisation. Operating at the intersection of innovation, solution architecture and vendor engagement, the role focuses on rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept delivery and technology recommendations. It provides early insight into what is possible, what is valuable, and what is viable for BT to invest in — before large-scale commitment is made.

    • Continuously track emerging trends across AI and adjacent technology domains.
    • Identify new tools, platforms and capabilities with potential value for BT colleagues.
    • Assess technologies across cloud, model, agent, automation and integration stacks.
  • Rapid Prototyping and Proof of Concept
    • Lead rapid prototyping and PoC development to test new AI capabilities.
    • Work with the Agent Factory to design and build early-stage solutions.
    • Demonstrate feasibility, value and architectural fit before wider investment.
    • Support solution design and architectural thinking for innovative AI use cases.
    • Ensure PoCs are technically credible, scalable and aligned with BT architecture principles.
    • Work confidently across core AI stacks including Microsoft, AWS and Google.
    • Understand how different platforms can be combined to deliver optimal outcomes.
    • Support informed decision-making in a multi-cloud, multi-vendor environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
