Innovation & Transformation Specialist (Practice Engagement)

We are seeking an Innovation & Transformation Specialist (Practice Engagement) to join our team in London. Innovation & Transformation is Proskauer's function for innovation, transformation, legal technology enablement, and continuous improvement, responsible for delivering governed, adopted, and measurable change across practices, matters, and regions. You will work directly with lawyers to understand how they deliver legal services, surface opportunities to improve, and land change on the ground in the practice. You will discover, shape, deliver, and embed; you will partner with lawyers and colleagues across the firm; and you will play a real role in a function that is reshaping how Proskauer operates.

Responsibilities

  • Support the practice-facing work of Innovation & Transformation, engaging lawyers to understand how they deliver legal services and surfacing opportunities across legal technology (including generative AI, document automation, and collaboration platforms), process improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Help shape demand, framing lawyer ideas, pain points, and requests into well-defined opportunities that can be triaged, prioritized, and routed into the function's intake.
  • Contribute to legal service transformation initiatives by supporting the redesign of workflows, matter delivery models, and ways of working alongside lawyers and colleagues across the function.
  • Drive practice-facing adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working through training, 1:1 support, embedding into matter workflows, and supporting lawyers through behavioral change.
  • Support the practice-facing work of pilots, including user recruitment, stakeholder communication, on-the-ground engagement, and feedback capture.
  • Contribute to the firm's approach to responsible use of AI in legal practice by supporting rollout, adoption, feedback capture, and day-to-day enablement with lawyers in the assigned scope.
  • Support the practice-facing component of client engagement, contributing to client-facing materials, showcases, and conversations that reflect the firm's innovation and transformation work.
  • Contribute market, peer, and competitive insight into the practice's context to help inform strategy, portfolio direction, and lawyer conversations.
  • Capture lawyer feedback, adoption signals, and improvement opportunities from practice engagement, feeding these into the function's measurement, prioritization, and product lifecycle work.
  • Working flexibly across the function to support firm priorities as they emerge, providing cover and clean handovers for teammates, and responding promptly to inbound requests, escalating where a decision is required at a more senior level.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
