🚜 Mechanical Design Engineer – Join an Award-Winning Innovator!
At Garnett Farms Engineering (Knutsford), we don’t just build agricultural machinery — we reinvent it. With award-winning projects we’re looking for a creative, hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke machinery from concept to production.
🔧 What you’ll do:
- Create 3D models & drawings in SolidWorks (heavy focus on sheet metal, fabrication, and automation).
- Perform independent engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and design optimizations.
- Take projects from concept → production, ensuring practicality and performance.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team, suppliers, and customers to deliver real-world solutions.

🚨 CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:
- This is a fully on-site role based near Knutsford/Allostock, Cheshire. You must live within a reliable commuting distance.
- You must possess the existing legal Right to Work in the UK. We cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.
- Proven experience performing mechanical engineering calculations (stress, tolerance, load) is mandatory.
✅ What we’re looking for:
- Proficient 3D CAD skills, specifically using SolidWorks.
- Strong practical, mechanical background a deep understanding of fabrication processes.
- An innovative problem-solver understanding how designs translate for workshop floor.
- Background in agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, is highly advantageous.
