Inquests Solicitor - London - Up to £85,000

A well-established UK law firm is looking to recruit an Inquests Solicitor to join its specialist healthcare team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Inquests Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to work on a varied caseload of Inquest and Court of Protection matters for clients across the healthcare and public sectors.

The role will primarily focus on managing a caseload of inquests, with opportunities to become involved in wider healthcare advisory and regulatory work.

The Role:

  • Manage a varied caseload of inquest matters
  • Act for NHS organisations, healthcare providers and other relevant clients
  • Attend inquest hearings and undertake advocacy at pre-inquest reviews and inquests
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings
  • Provide clear, practical and strategic legal advice
  • Assist with wider healthcare matters, including Court of Protection and regulatory work where appropriate
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, counsel and other relevant parties
  • Draft correspondence, advice and case documentation
  • Contribute to client relationships and the wider development of the team
  • Travel nationally where required

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 4–10 years' PQE
  • Previous experience handling inquests
  • Advocacy experience, with a willingness to further develop your advocacy skills
  • Healthcare and regulatory experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication, drafting and analytical abilities
  • Confident managing your own caseload
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong client care and interpersonal skills
