Position Description - Inside Account Executive
Position Description
The Inside Account Executive (IAE) is responsible for developing existing accounts, within a defined territory, by building relationships through continuous engagement. This role is highly focused on strategically converting business from the competition, while mitigating any potential risk in the territory. Success in this position is defined by achieving exceeding sales growth targets, meeting daily proactive objectives, maintaining a high quote to order conversion rate, building strong pipelines, and expanding WWE's percentage of customer spend.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities: Conduct outbound calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting to target new industrial customers.
- Build and qualify a strong sales pipeline: Maintain consistent daily activity focused on generating new leads and advancing opportunities.
- Achieve and exceed growth targets: Success measured by new accounts opened, revenue generated, and ability to penetrate targeted markets.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
- Understand how each customer does business, total potential, competitive intel, and how we can add value.
- Maintain constant contact with your customers and reinforce value proposition.
- Generate quote for all opportunities and tailor the solution to ensure the customers' technical and delivery needs are met.
- Follow up on all open opportunities. Convert the business. If the opportunity was lost document reasoning.
- Expand WWE offering and convert business currently with the competition.
- Address all opportunities thoroughly with urgency. Position the WWE solution effectively.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales Managers: Hand off qualified opportunities to field teams as needed to support deal closure.
Solution Customization and Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with technical teams: Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to tailor solutions that align with customer needs, especially for complex or technical sales.
- Value-based selling: Go beyond price to articulate how products deliver long-term efficiency, ROI, or reliability (outcome vs specific features)
- Provide feedback to marketing and operations: Share insights from customer interactions to improve campaigns, offerings, and support.

Sales Operations and Forecasting
- CRM management: Diligently document all interactions, updates, and deal progress to maintain pipeline accuracy.
- P21 management: Ensure account coding is current, correct and complete. Address any duplication.
- Sales forecasting: Provide timely and accurate projections for leadership, enabling strategic planning and inventory management.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B industrial sales or lead generation experience, preferably in industrial or electrical markets.
- Strong background in account development.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment such as electric motors, gear reducers, motor controls and/or generators is required.
- Demonstrated success in sales growth through proactive techniques.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- High energy, resilience, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
