Are you passionate about science and interested in building a career in sales? Gilson is looking for a German-speaking Inside Sales Account Manager to join our European team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work with laboratories, researchers, universities, and innovative companies across Germany while developing valuable commercial skills with a global leader in laboratory solutions.
Whether you are a recent Life Sciences graduate, have some customer-facing sales experience, or have worked in a laboratory environment and are curious about a commercial career, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As part of our Inside Sales team, you'll help scientists and laboratories find the products and services they need to conduct reliable and reproducible research. You'll:
- Build relationships with customers through phone, email, virtual meetings, and social selling
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Support existing customers and help grow their use of Gilson products
- Promote pipettes, liquid handling solutions, laboratory consumables, benchtop equipment, calibration services, and instrumentation
- Prepare quotations and proposals
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads
- Maintain opportunities and customer information within our CRM system
- Work closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, and Customer Service
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from first contact through to sale

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Fluent German and English
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and customer-focused mindset
- Confidence communicating by phone and video
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle

Preferred
- Degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline
- Some experience in sales, customer service, account management, or business development
- Laboratory experience gained through work, education, or internships
- Familiarity with pipettes, manual liquid handling products, scientific consumables, or laboratory equipment
- Experience using CRM systems
