YOUR ROLE
As our Inside Sales Coordinator, you will work closely with the Sales Manager and wider Sales team. This role will ensure a comprehensive and effective all-round Sales service is provided to the Short Sea Customer base. You will be a critical focal point to develop new business, increase volumes, and manage existing Sales agreements to ensure the best possible results are achieved.
Through a proactive and customer-centric approach, you will be a trusted first point of contact, providing competitive rate quotations to suit the needs of new and existing customers. You will be required to proactively identify opportunities to develop new business and supporting the effective management of existing Customer relationships. This will ensure high levels of business retention and identification of cross-selling opportunities to support business growth.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Ensure that customer requirements (e.g. responding to quotation requests and seeing these through to successful resolution) are met in a professional and timely manner.
- Proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities to connect with potential new customers.
- Build and provide new leads, markets, trends, to share with wider sales team.
- Build rapport with BDM’s, internal departments, Trade and Overseas agencies, ensuring best outcomes for CMA CGM SSL INEUR customers.
- Regularly partner with Outside sales team to share leads, support, and handle customer enquiries.
- Provide regular commentary of business relating to assigned customer accounts, highlighting business development opportunities, gains, lost business, pipelines and any other business.
- Liaise closely with Trade teams to secure competitive pricing to develop volumes.
- Analysis of statistical data, identifying opportunities to develop new business and providing relevant reporting for Trade/Area, internal/external Sales and Management teams as required.
- Regularly and accurately updating rate matrix, to support external Sales teams.
- Effectively maintain customer relationships through regular and proactive contact.
- Support ongoing review of processes and procedures, contributing to process improvement initiatives as required.
- Attend external customer visits as required, focusing on Key Accounts and top pipeline opportunities, most importantly new business.
- Updating CRM system with relevant information and data (e.g. Customer data, visits, service requirements), and ensuring all relevant internal departments are updated with key developments.
- Support resolution of customer complaints, whilst seeking to identifying root cause of issues to prevent repeat issues in future.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrate experience in a Sales / Business Development / Sales Coordination environment (Shipping and/or Logistics industry experience would be advantageous).
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide a proactive and solutions-focused service to our customers.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to spot trends and proactively identify new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to demonstrate experience of building effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
- A resilient approach, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A natural problem solver, with the ability to identify root-cause of issues and see through to a successful resolution.
- Flexibility in your approach, able to respond positively and proactively to differing customer requirements.
- Strong IT literacy including inhouse CRM systems as well as MS packages including Excel & PowerPoint.
