Internal Sales Engineer

Wythenshawe/Hybrid
Instrumentation / Process Engineering / Automation

Endress+Hauser are actively seeking an Internal Sales Engineer for our Sales centre in South Manchester. As an Internal Sales Engineer, you will be required to work in the Sales Process providing sales and technical support to our customers across the UK.

Main Responsibilities of the Internal Sales Engineer

  • Manage and pre-qualify incoming customer enquiries, technically, commercially and negotiating of terms
  • Produce clear and accurate proposals
  • Actively participate in the utilisation of salesforce.com and SAP for the purpose of cooperation and collaboration of business opportunities
  • Maintain the sales pipeline with forecast date and probability and manage the pipeline from open opportunities to closing the sale
  • Work closely with all teams to develop and improve customer performance
  • Own and manage customer accounts, including database maintenance
  • Enhance product knowledge with in-house training
  • Promote our digital sales platform
  • Liaise with colleagues across the business to better serve our customers
  • Continuously identify cross-selling opportunities

Qualification + Profile of the Internal Sales Engineer

  • Being educated to technical degree level, or equivalent relevant industry qualification is advantageous
  • English language and Maths GCSE
  • Ideally, experience in the engineering field, ideally have instrumentation and automation experience but not essential
  • Sales experience within an engineering environment
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone/digital (Microsoft Teams) knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and the capacity to work as a member of a team and as an individual
  • Comfortable with a consultative selling approach with questioning techniques
