We are hiring: Inside Sales Engineer
Location: Worthing, UK
The Inside Sales Engineer owns and develops a defined customer portfolio, driving proactive engagement, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. You'll be the primary commercial contact for your customers, coordinating internal resources and ensuring a seamless experience across the buying cycle - working closely with Direct Sales, Technical Teams and Shared Services.
What You’ll Do
Customer relations & sales support
- Manage a portfolio of Inside Sales clients
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers
- Manage customer meetings (remotely)
- Provide active support to direct sales

Sales & technical solutions
- Qualify inbound requests
- Analyze customer needs in collaboration with technical teams when necessary
- Propose technical and commercial solutions
- Prepare quotes, set discounts within DOA limits, and check margins and risks
- Convert quotes into orders
Order management & logistics coordination
- Track and manage customer orders through to delivery, ensuring reliability
- Complete contractual, legal, and mandatory documentation
- Place orders for third-party products when necessary and verify order acknowledgments
- Coordinate flows with logistics and supply chain, monitoring the backlog and proactively communicating with customers
- Track invoicing and manage or escalate disputes and incidents
You may also have the opportunity to join cross-functional projects across Watlow.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Solid, hands-on experience in industrial B2B sales
- Proven ability to coordinate tailored technical and commercial solutions for customers
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to customer engagement
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems, with openness to using AI and digital tools to improve efficiency
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Technical education and/or background in industrial manufacturing, thermal solutions, or related technical sectors is a strong advantage

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 4 days from the office, 1 day of home office per week
