Job Description

The Inside Sales Executive plays a key role in supporting the organisation's growth ambitions by identifying, qualifying, and progressing new sales opportunities. Working as part of the wider commercial team, the role focuses on generating new business leads, nurturing customer relationships, and ensuring an exceptional customer onboarding experience.

The successful candidate will adopt a proactive, growth-focused mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to revenue growth through effective sales and account development activities.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues through effective communication via telephone and email, ensuring timely responses.
  • Assist in generating new sales leads and expanding business relationships by identifying potential opportunities.
  • Create, negotiate, and manage contracts, offers, and sales documentation, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer needs.
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including data entry, tracking, and reporting using Salesforce and SAP.
  • Coordinate sales campaigns and proactively engage with potential and existing clients to drive business growth.
  • Manage and oversee customer onboarding processes, ensuring seamless transitions from initial contact to delivery.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and generate reports for internal stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Organize and coordinate customer events, meetings, and follow-up communications to strengthen client relationships.

Business Growth & Sales Development

  • Identify, develop, and progress new sales opportunities to support business growth objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with the commercial team to generate and convert qualified sales leads.
  • Support the achievement of volume, revenue, and growth targets in line with annual business objectives.
  • Develop compelling customer proposals and utilise negotiation techniques to secure new business and retain existing customers.
  • Promote and cross-sell relevant products and services to maximise customer value.

Customer Onboarding & Experience

  • Ensure new customers are onboarded efficiently and effectively, delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Contribute ideas to improve sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Help identify and remove barriers that may impact team or business performance.

Key Performance Measures

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Achievement of growth, volume, and revenue targets.
  • Successful acquisition and retention of customers.
  • Demonstration of strong product and service knowledge.
  • Effective contribution to outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Delivery of KPI and performance objectives.
  • Development of broad solution knowledge to support customer acquisition and growth.

Decision Making & Authority

The Inside Sales Executive will be responsible for:

  • Negotiating and securing new customer contracts.
  • Recommending the most appropriate products and services based on customer requirements.
  • Contributing to process improvement initiatives and larger business projects.

Experience Essential

  • Experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering against objectives.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Sales, Inside Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or Customer Service.
  • Experience working within a commercial or sales-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales or customer growth targets.
