Department: Sales Operations

Reports to: Director, Sales Operations

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Inside Sales Manager to join a leading global travel company, where you’ll lead and develop a high-performing contact centre sales team, driving revenue growth, strong sales conversion and an exceptional customer experience.

This is a strategic people leadership role within the travel industry, where you’ll be responsible for sales performance, workforce planning, forecasting and operational excellence across a busy, multi-brand environment.

You’ll work closely with teams across Marketing, Product, Finance and Customer Operations to deliver commercial initiatives, improve processes and support the growth of the company’s travel brands and products.

You’ll also play an active role within the Inside Sales Global Management Team, helping shape and improve the approach to sales performance and customer engagement across the wider organisation.

What you’ll be doing

Lead and develop a high-performing team

  • Lead, coach and develop a regional Inside Sales team, supporting individual performance and career development.
  • Own the end-to-end performance management process, including regular reviews, coaching and performance improvement plans.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent and support succession planning.
  • Support recruitment and hiring decisions across the team.
  • Create a positive, collaborative and motivated team culture.
  • Manage incentive and reward programmes to recognise and encourage strong performance.

Drive sales performance and revenue

  • Take ownership of sales conversion, revenue and customer service performance across the travel sales team.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Drive opportunities to increase sales of ancillary travel products such as Air and Travel Insurance.
  • Lead forecasting and budgeting activity for the team.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends and KPIs to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Use CRM and analytics tools to monitor pipeline health, conversion rates and overall team performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
