About Biotage

From drug discovery and development to analytical testing, Biotage supports the work that drives progress in life science and improves human health. With expertise in separation and purification technologies and versatile, intelligent workflow solutions, we help optimise processes for more than 5,000 customers worldwide.

About the Role

We are looking for a commercially focused Inside Sales Representative to join our EMEA Commercial team in Cardiff.

The role is responsible for driving sales and supporting business growth across EMEA, with responsibility for promoting and growing sales of Biotage consumable products across our portfolio.

Rather than being aligned to a specific geographical territory, you will develop and grow consumables sales across EMEA. You will proactively engage with existing and prospective customers, generate and follow up sales opportunities, respond to marketing leads and work closely with Account Managers to develop and maximise business opportunities.

Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Field Service, you will contribute to a proactive and coordinated approach to customer engagement. The role combines direct sales activity with prospecting, lead generation, quotation preparation, pipeline management and CRM administration, while also providing sales support to Account Managers.

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three days per week onsite in our Cardiff office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for consumables products across EMEA.
  • Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers to promote Biotage consumables, develop relationships and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Manage and follow up sales and marketing leads, qualifying opportunities and progressing them through the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop existing customer relationships, identify opportunities and maximise consumables sales.
  • Prepare customer quotations and support product demonstrations, literature and sample requests as required.
  • Maintain accurate customer, contact and opportunity information and ensure all sales activity is recorded in Salesforce.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Biotage's consumable portfolio, its applications, customer needs and competitive positioning.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service and channel partners to provide a coordinated approach to customer opportunities and enquiries.
  • Monitor market and customer developments and share relevant insights with the wider EMEA Commercial team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
