The Global Insights Team at Primark
We are a newly formed team within Primark, at the start of an exciting journey to integrate insights into the business to drive performance.
Our mission is to drive insight-led decision making for maximum impact in helping Primark achieve its strategic goals.
The team is structured across pillars covering Brand/Marketing, Consumer Journey, Product Category and Performance and Growth. This role sits within Performance & Growth, bringing together market intelligence and Primark’s transactional data to tell the performance story for a set of priority countries.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the consumer and market story for priority countries, producing the fact-packs, competitive analysis and consumer-behaviour synthesis that guide local strategy and growth, with direction from the Performance & Growth Insights Manager.
- Act as the day-to-day contact for Primark’s external data providers, coordinating briefs, deliverables and quality across the relationship.
- Analyse Primark’s transactional data for your countries, connecting sales and customer behaviour to the wider market picture to explain what is driving performance.
- Support the Performance & Growth Insights Manager in feeding consistent, comparable country inputs into the KPI frameworks and scorecards used across Strategy, Finance and Leadership.
Data Sources & Vendor Management
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with external data providers including Kantar/Worldpanel, SITA (for the respective countries) and Oxford Economics; brief requests, track deliverables and quality-check outputs.
- Combine syndicated data, transactional data and primary research into a single, clear view per market, connecting brand tracking, value and price perception, market share and consumer trends.
- Keep source documentation, definitions and processes up to date so analysis stays consistent and repeatable across markets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Produce clear, relevant insight deliverables including reports and presentations, getting to the “so what” rather than reporting numbers.
- Present findings to country and central stakeholders in a way they can act on, helping answer “how we win with customers” for each market.
Market & Competitor Tracking
- Track competitor moves, pricing and market indicators across your markets, using Edited as a tool, flagging opportunities and risks early enough for local teams to act on them.
