The Role
How well we understand our customers shapes almost every commercial decision we make. This role leads that understanding, developing customer and commercial insight across rich booking, behavioural, marketing, digital and product data.

You will move the organisation beyond reporting towards genuine diagnosis: why performance is changing, what is driving customer behaviour and where we should act. It brings together customer insight, commercial thinking and real stakeholder influence, with a team of analysts to lead and develop. Senior leaders will look to you for the answer, and for the recommendation that follows it.
What Will You Do?
- Lead customer and commercial analytics across priority business questions and strategic initiatives.
- Turn complex data into clear perspectives on customer behaviour, growth opportunity and performance.
- Develop analytical approaches across segmentation, customer journeys, conversion, retention and value.
- Move the organisation from descriptive reporting towards diagnostic and predictive insight.
- Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured questions and testable hypotheses.
- Build evidence-led recommendations that senior stakeholders act on.
- Set consistent definitions and frameworks for key customer and commercial measures.
- Partner with Data Science on opportunities that need advanced modelling or experimentation.
- Work with Data Product and Engineering to improve analytical data and self-service capability.
- Lead and coach analysts, raising standards in both methodology and storytelling.

About You
Essential
- Significant experience in customer insight, customer analytics, commercial analytics or a similar insight-led role.
- Strong experience with complex customer, transactional, loyalty, digital or behavioural data.
- Strong analytical capability, including SQL and modern BI and visualisation tools.
- A track record of turning analysis into decisions and measurable commercial outcomes.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, customer behaviour and commercial performance drivers.
- Excellent data storytelling and executive communication.
- Experience leading analysts and raising analytical standards.
- Commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
Desirable
- Experience using AI to deliver insight faster and encouraging AI self-service among colleagues.
- Experience with experimentation or test-and-learn programmes.
- Exposure to Snowflake or another modern cloud data platform.
- Experience in a global, multi-brand or multi-market business.
- Curiosity about travel, hospitality or global consumer businesses.
