About the Role

Shropshire Council’s Feedback and Insight Team is seeking to recruit an Insight and VCS Engagement Officer. The focus of the role is working to coordinate and support Shropshire’s Voluntary and Community Sector Assembly. The post holder will enable cross-sector partnership working, support the work of the VCS Assembly Board, organise meetings and events, and deliver partnership projects and voluntary sector research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on weekly communications designed for the voluntary sector
  • Manage the VCS Assembly website
  • Act as a specialist for Shropshire Council, providing engagement advice to a wide range of internal services and external partners
  • Coordinate Shropshire Voluntary and Community Sector Assembly
  • Support the VCS Assembly Board and wider membership
  • Work with front line services, providers, and partners, advising and supporting them to carry out a wide range of engagement activities from surveys to focus groups, to engagement with whole communities to seek their views

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working in partnerships and/or with the voluntary sector
  • Experience in delivering partnership projects and gathering feedback
  • Well-developed organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good IT skills (training will be provided)
