About us

At National Gas, the work we do matters.

As Britain's national gas network, we help keep the lights on, businesses running, and homes warm by maintaining the critical infrastructure that transports gas across Great Britain. While providing the energy security Britain relies on today, we're also helping transform the network for a clean energy future.

Join us and help secure Britain's energy.

About the role

National Gas is helping shape the future of the UK's gas network through emerging opportunities in hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCS), biomethane and other low-carbon energy solutions. The Insight Associate plays a key role in ensuring the business has access to timely market intelligence, customer insights and strategic reporting to support decision-making.

Working closely with Business Development, Commercial teams and senior stakeholders, you'll help identify emerging opportunities, maintain business development pipelines and improve reporting using data, automation and AI tools. This role offers broad exposure across the organisation and the chance to influence decisions that support the UK's energy transition.

What you'll be doing

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
