Asda places data at the core of its decision-making and we’re looking for an Insight Manager to lead and elevate customer insight across our ecommerce business.

In this role, you will own the strategic insight agenda for ecommerce, ensuring high-quality, commercially focused analysis informs decisions across trading, customer experience, marketing, and online operations. You will lead the understanding of customer behaviour across the full digital journey, from browse to basket to checkout to last mile, identifying opportunities to improve conversion, loyalty, online spend, and overall ecommerce performance.

You will be accountable for shaping, prioritising, and delivering analytical work that drives measurable commercial outcomes, ensuring insight is embedded into day-to-day trading and long-term strategic planning. You will also play a key role in developing analytical capability within the team, supporting analysts and data scientists to deliver robust, actionable insight.

What You’ll Lead & Deliver

Drive Ecommerce Performance

  • Set and deliver the insight strategy that improves key online metrics including conversion, basket size, customer retention, and customer loyalty.
  • Partner with Trading and Performance teams to identify growth opportunities and influence optimisation decisions.

Customer & Journey Analytics

  • Lead the understanding of end-to-end customer journeys across web and app.
  • Identify friction points, drop-offs, and behavioural trends that shape customer experience and commercial outcomes.

Advanced Analytics, Measurement & Experimentation

  • Oversee the design and evaluation of trials, marketing campaigns, and onsite changes using SQL, Python, and large-scale datasets.
  • Champion A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and continuous optimisation across ecommerce.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
