The role
The role combines research delivery with the chance to influence how insight is delivered across the business. You’ll design studies, explore data, interpret findings and quality assure outputs, while also helping us improve our research approaches and identify practical ways to use technology, AI and automation to work smarter.

This role would suit an experienced research professional who is comfortable working hands-on, adapting quickly and helping strengthen how insight is delivered at SMRS. You’ll bring strong qualitative and quantitative expertise, confidence in research design, and a clear commitment to rigorous, useful, evidence-based outputs.
While this is a standalone insight role, you won’t be working in isolation. You’ll be part of a collaborative wider team, supported by an established network of research associates and specialist partners. A key part of the role will be briefing and guiding that network, quality assuring outputs and ensuring clients receive consistently excellent work.

We’re looking for someone who combines methodological rigour with commercial awareness: someone who can advise on the right approach, challenge assumptions, and support colleagues and clients to get more value from insight.

Salary between £42,000 and £46,000, depending on experience.
